About Ann, by Newell…Ann will make the most wonderful, caring and patient mother. She loves teaching and the joy of being around children of all ages. She is always prepared for anything and everything.

About Newell, by Ann…Newell is the sweetest, most generous partner and he will be an amazing father. I admire his sense of adventure and patience. He is committed to continued learning. He also has a heads up on dad jokes and making up silly songs.

Career/Occupation:

Ann began her career as a child care provider and now works with community-based organizations to improve access and quality of support and services available to families. She has flexible hours and works from home three-days a week with every other Friday off. Newell has literally gone from the mail room to a leadership position within the movie studio system. He loves the creative aspects of his career and enjoys working in an industry that constantly challenges him. He’s passionate about storytelling and looks forward to sharing the magic of movies and the creativity around that with a child.

Home/Community:

Our community is a wonderful place to call home. Known for its strong sense of community, it offers a safe and welcoming environment with excellent schools, beautiful parks, and plenty of family-friendly activities. Given its location in Los Angeles County, it also provides easy access to additional cultural and educational opportunities, while maintaining a small-town feel that’s perfect for raising a child. We feel incredibly fortunate to live here and are excited to share all that the city has to offer with a child. We live in a nice little house with citrus trees, a sandbox, and a yard to run around in.

Interests & Hobbies:

Ann and Newell think an essential in life is traveling in order to learn and grow, and are looking forward to sharing those experiences with a future child. They both also appreciate the visual arts and like to go to plays, musicals, movies, and museums. Some of Ann’s other hobbies include crafting, baking, and reading.She loves holidays and decorating the house; Halloween is a favorite. Some of Newell’s other hobbies include going to the gym to get healthier, collecting records and movies, and hiking.

Our personal values are rooted in compassion, respect, and astrong sense of social responsibility. We consider ourselves spiritual, and westrive to live with mindfulness, gratitude, and integrity. We believe that allpeople deserve equal rights, dignity, and opportunities, and we are committedto treating others in the way they wish to be treated. These values guide how we live our daily lives andthe environment we hope to provide for a child.

Openness:

We value an open adoption where our future child gets to know their biological origins. We are open to exchanging updates and pictures; speaking over the phone or video chat a couple of times a year; and other ongoing contact that may include annual visits.

Parenting:

Our parenting approach is centered on love, respect, and open communication. We believe that children learn best through play, exploration, and meaningful experiences. Our role as parents is to provide a safe, loving environment where curiosity is encouraged, and where they feel supported in their journey of growth. We are committed to creating a home filled with laughter, learning, and traditions that will become lasting memories. We look forward to nurturing a child’s individuality, guiding them with care, and creating an environment where they feel loved and valued every day.
