The Blessing Exchange
A Service Program for Jewish Young Adults with Autism and Other Special Needs in cooperation with Los Angeles Senior Living Communities
The Blessing Exchange is a new pilot program designed to bring young adults with autism and other special needs together with seniors living in Senior Living Communities to build relationships of meaning and service culminating in monthly Jewish Holiday and Shabbat Programming.
At its core, The Blessing Exchange is about living life with meaning and holiness. It is about menschlichkeit. It is about young adults with special needs and elderly individuals both having agency to do something meaningful in the service of others – to make a difference.
Year One focuses on learning and preparation for both communities.
In year two, monthly holiday and or Shabbat programming will begin.
Classes held on Thursdays via Zoom.

“Jewish Life’s multi-sensory approach and the way of engaging and praising the kids allows my son to be in a space where he feels safe, loved, and eager to learn and share.”
