Mitul & Rebecca

We are Mitul and Rebecca from sunny California. We are ready to give our unconditional love to a child and expand our family through adoption. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. Even though we do not know each other yet, we have a great amount of respect and admiration for you and offer you our sincere support.  We hope by looking at our photos and reading about our lives you will find comfort in knowing how much we want to share our lives with a child.

About Mitul & Rebecca

Mitul and I met right before Thanksgiving 2004. We were both living in Chicago, Illinois. Our first date was at Dave & Busters and after a few games of pool we were talking like we’d known each other forever. Between our first date and getting married we moved to Los Angeles and have been soaking in the sun ever since. We married in September 2010, in Rebecca’s hometown; we had a beautiful mixed tradition Christian-Hindu ceremony and an amazing reception with all of our friends and family supporting us. We have chosen adoption as our path to begin a family after failed infertility treatments. There is no question in our minds that adoption is the right answer for us. We continue to believe in the power of positive thinking as we hope and pray that we will be blessed with the opportunity to adopt. We thank you for considering us as parents for your child.

Things We Like to Do:
Mitul & I enjoy being together, exploring our surroundings, spending time with friends and family and trying new things.  We are also a movie-going family and love traveling, seeing live music, going to sporting events and picnicking at the beach.  We enjoy walking to our local farmers markets and dining out at the restaurants in our neighborhood.  We also like being at home, catching up on TV or snuggled up with a bowl of popcorn and Netflix.  We want to share all these activities with a child as well and enjoy them as a family.

Our Home & Community:
Our house is light blue, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, with a large airy kitchen and a beautiful sun room where Rebecca often sits and reads.  We have a patio area off the sunroom where we keep tomato plants and potted herbs.   We are within walking distance of two parks and a ‘main street’ area that has restaurants, shops, farmers market and almost weekly festivals including the annual Christmas Parade, Oktoberfest, Art Fairs and a Halloween Trick or Treating Spooktacular for kids of all ages.  Our community has highly-rated public and private schools.  Our area is centrally located, so we’re within a 5-10 minute drive to most any shopping we may need.

All about Our Families:
Mitul comes from a very large Indian family, and most live in and around Chicago, Illinois.  Mitul’s mom and dad are avid gardeners and are very involved in the local Indian community. They’ve been married for over 40 years and love travelling to see us as well as around the country.   Mitul’s sister is a successful real estate agent and also helps with her in-law’s family clothing business.  Our niece is a budding artist and nephew a little superhero.
Rebecca’s family is spread across the country.  Her parents, married for over 47 years, are still living in the house she grew up in outside of Kansas City, Missouri.  Her dad is a semi-retired lawyer and former mayor of their hometown; Rebecca’s mom is a retired teacher.   Rebecca has one older brother, who lives in Georgia with his wife and our niece & nephew.  Rebecca’s parents also have a home in Arizona and we love to visit them there and enjoy hiking, horseback riding and other tourist activities.

What Parenting Means To Us:
We plan to have a balanced approach to parenting.  We will provide a life where a child feels secure in the love, support and guidance of their family. We will help our child receive a good education, encourage them to use their inherent gifts including their intelligence and imagination and will spend quality time with them. We will teach our child to respect others and to follow the Golden Rule to, “do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” Our child will be encouraged to pursue their dreams, whatever they may be. We will do our best to introduce our child to new adventures, music classes, the arts, swim lessons, sports and comic books, etc. while also enjoying the simple things like going to the park, visiting friends and family, going to local attractions and sometimes just being at home and hanging out. We promise to provide a loving, stable home with lots of family and friends to surround and love him or her. We would love the opportunity to share these experiences, and more importantly all of the unconditional love that we have, with a new baby.
