Vista Del Mar Child and Family Services Announces Nancy Tallerino as new President and CEO


Los Angeles, CA. (June 14, 2016)- Culminating a statewide Executive Search, Nancy Tallerino, LCSW has been appointed to the position of President and CEO of Vista Del Mar Child and Family Services, effective immediately. Vista’s Board Chair, Philip M. Stein confirmed the appointment today.

Vista Del Mar was founded in Los Angeles in 1908, and has long been recognized as one of the nation’s leading non-sectarian child welfare and mental health agencies. Vista holds a 4-Star rating from Charity Navigator, and is the recipient of the Gold Seal by the Joint Commission, recognizing the highest level of accreditation that can be bestowed upon a behavioral health organization. As only the ninth President and CEO in 108 years, Ms. Tallerino’s appointment demonstrates a remarkable history of leadership stability throughout Vista Del Mar’s history.

Prior to coming to Vista Del Mar, Tallerino served as Executive Director of Family Service of Santa Monica for ten years. When Family Service merged with Vista Del Mar in 2001, Tallerino became Vista’s Director of Outpatient Services and was later promoted to Senior Vice President of Outpatient Services and Professional Development. Before that she was aligned with several public and non-profit agencies that support the diverse critical needs of families and children of all circumstance and abilities. Tallerino received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from USC, and is an active member of the National Association of Social Workers. She has presented workshops at National Child Welfare League of America conferences and has served as a trainer for the University of Southern California’s Delinquency Control Institute.

Tallerino’s deep and compelling sense of purpose and compassion define her strategic leadership style and vision for the agency’s future. She anticipates several newsworthy announcements reflecting Vista’s state of the arts program and project initiatives in 2016 and beyond.
